The state of Ukraine’s energy system remains challenging. Blackouts are being implemented.

This was reported by Ukrenergo.

What is happening in the grid

According to Ukrenergo, Russian attacks on energy facilities have left consumers without power in several regions. These include Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Specialists are carrying out necessary work to restore stable power supply for all consumers.

«Due to the difficult situation in the energy system, caused by the aftermath of previous Russian shelling—in several regions of Ukraine, hourly blackout schedules ranging from 1 to 2.5 queues have been forcibly introduced. Restrictions will be lifted as soon as the situation stabilizes, ” the company stated.

Power limitation schedules are also in effect for industrial consumers. In certain regions they will be active from 07:00 to 19:00.

Electricity consumption remains high. Calculations show that on October 24 and 27, it was at the same level. Yesterday, October 26, the daily peak consumption was 1.6% higher than the peak of the previous Sunday, October 19.

Ukrainians are once again urged to use electricity sparingly.

«If you currently have power, please limit the use of high-consumption electrical appliances until 10 p.m., ” urged Ukrenergo.

It was also reported that bad weather has left 54 settlements in Dnipropetrovsk region without power. Emergency repair teams are working on restoring electricity, and the regional power company says all affected consumers should be back online by the end of the day.
