Sumy in flames: What is known about overnight strikes on city

Russian forces launched a series of attacks on residential areas and infrastructure in the city of Sumy overnight. According to preliminary reports, 11 people were injured, including four children.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported the consequences of the strikes.
«As a result of a direct hit on a nine-story residential building, fires broke out on the upper floors — five apartments and seven balconies were ablaze. Rescuers saved 12 residents from the building, ” the statement said.

In the private sector, two utility buildings caught fire, and a one-story house with five apartments was damaged by the blast wave.
The most severe destruction and large-scale fires occurred at an infrastructure facility. All fires have been extinguished.
