Black Sea port of Ukraine
Thus, two vessels that were blocked due to the war left the Black Sea ports of Ukraine. They are heading through a temporary corridor.
This information has been reported by the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine.
What is known
It is noted that the bulk carriers ANNA-THERESA (Liberia) and OCEAN COURTESY (Marshall Islands) were present at the Port of "Pivdenny" before the full-scale invasion. They managed to leave through the established corridor in the direction of the Bosphorus. So, there are 56,000 tons of cast iron and 172,000 tons of iron ore concentrate on board.
"The corridor established by the navigation instruction of the Ukrainian Naval Forces is primarily used for the evacuation of ships that were in the Ukrainian ports of Chornomorsk, Odesa, and Pivdenny at the time of the full-scale Russian invasion," the message says.
It is known that since August 15, 4 ships have already used the temporary corridor. The container ship JOSEPH SCHULTE and the bulk carrier PRIMUS were the first to pass this way on August 16 and 27.
