The conversation with the Russian side regarding exchanges is ongoing — Ukraine is currently working on another exchange.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in his traditional evening video address on July 19.

“The dialogue with the Russian side on exchanges continues — we are following through on the agreements reached at the last meeting in Istanbul. The team is now working on another exchange,” the Head of State reported.

He also said that the new Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, had proposed another meeting with the Russian side for next week.

“We need to increase the pace of negotiations. We must do everything to achieve a ceasefire. And the Russian side needs to stop avoiding decisions,” the President said.

Zelenskyy once again called on Russia to hold a meeting at the level of national leaders “to truly ensure peace.”
