When the war in Ukraine will end: Zelenskyy outlines plans «A» and «B»
If the war continues into 2026, it will be necessary to finance the needs of the Defense Forces with $120 billion.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed hope that the war will end by the end of 2025. If that does not happen, a «Plan B» will have to be implemented.
He said this at a joint briefing with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.
According to Zelenskyy, if the war lasts into 2026, the Defense Forces will need $120 billion, while Ukraine’s budget can cover only half of that amount.
«Sixty billion dollars I need to find for next year, ” the President said.
He noted that such funding would not be required in peacetime, but under current conditions it is critically important.
«Plan A is to end the war, Plan B is $120 billion. And that is a big challenge, ” the Ukrainian leader concluded.
