Zakarpattia survives heaviest drone attack since start of full-scale war: Aftermath (photos)

On May 13, the Zakarpattia region came under the largest Russian drone attack since the start of the full-scale invasion. Critical infrastructure facilities in several districts of the region were targeted.

The information was reported by Myroslav Biletskyi, Head of the Zakarpattia Regional Military Administration.

Military sources said 11 enemy «Shahed» and «Geranium» drones flew into the Zakarpattia region during the aerial attack. Most of the targets were shot down or suppressed by air defense and electronic warfare systems.

Some drones hit their targets. Preliminary reports indicate the strikes did not critically disrupt essential services.

Emergency responders and relevant services are currently working at the impact sites.
The regional administration praised air defense forces, the National Guard, police, and emergency services for their rapid response during the massive barrage.

«Above all, there are no casualties from today’s air attack,» the administration stressed.

Following the attack, the region ordered urgent inspections of community shelters, focusing on their condition and accessibility for the public.
