Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said lifting sanctions would strengthen Russia, arguing that revenue from energy exports is being used to produce weapons, including drones deployed against Ukraine and elsewhere.
He made the comments during a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris on Friday.
The Ukrainian leader said easing U.S. sanctions on Russian oil could give Russia around $10bn to continue the war.
«Lifting sanctions will only strengthen Russia, ” Zelenskyy said.
He also said Ukraine had sent expert teams to three countries and was ready to assist partners in countering «Shahed» drones.
