President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commented on the potential deployment of foreign troops along the line of contact, stating that such a move would make any new war extremely dangerous for Russia.
«They [the Russians] fear support forces, bases, and international representatives. Without this presence, no words will stop Putin,» he says.
Zelenskyy is convinced that mediation by influential countries is insufficient to stop Putin.
«In mediation, he feels no guilt. That is a major problem. I am not forcing anyone to take sides, but if we want to end the war, we must tell Putin he is wrong. I doubt dialogues, built on compromise, work,» the leader of the state assures.
In his view, Trump, Xi, and other global leaders must tell Putin directly to stop the war.
«They cannot tell Ukraine: „You must stop the war.“ We are defending ourselves. We are not the aggressors. What is there to stop? Together, we must stop Putin. Being a great leader means stopping the war through diplomacy,» Zelenskyy concluded.
