Zhorin on how Ukraine should respond to a new Russian mobilization
Ukraine should counter any new Russian mobilization with a technological reform of its military. Maksym Zhorin, Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps, explained why Ukraine cannot rely on manpower alone in this war.

Lieutenant Colonel Maksym Zhorin («Mose»), Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps, said that Ukraine’s effective response to Russia’s planned mobilization must be a technological reform of the Armed Forces and the systemic scaling of successful combat practices developed by frontline units.
Russia’s new mobilization — How Ukraine must act
The commander stresses that the Ukrainian military already possesses proven examples of countering numerically superior enemy forces.
«We have solutions and practices where the enemy, despite having overwhelming forces, loses the initiative, suffers massive personnel casualties, and is stripped of any opportunity to advance—or even loses positions. This is achieved primarily through technological solutions and competent planning,» Zhorin said.
He stressed that this approach must remain the core vector of development for the Ukrainian military, regardless of the Kremlin’s further mobilization plans.
«With or without mobilization in Russia, we cannot compete with them in terms of numbers anyway, and we shouldn’t even try,» he stated.
According to Zhorin, achieving technological superiority and systemically scaling effective practices across the entire Defense Forces is what will neutralize the numerical advantage of Russian troops on the battlefield.
