New aerial threat: “Flash” warns of dangerous use of “Gerbera”

Ukraine has recorded the first instance of a “Gerbera” UAV being used as an FPV drone carrier, which can carry out both attack and reconnaissance missions.

The information was provided by electronic warfare and communications specialist, adviser to the Ukrainian Defense Minister, Serhii “Flash” Beskrestnov.

He says the drone has not yet been found, so its exact purpose cannot be established. However, the use of this format has already been verified.

Beskrestnov adds that it remains unclear whether this tactic will be adopted more widely, but stressed the importance of alerting all parties to the emergence of a new threat.
