Today, November 24, several dozen Polish farmers launched a protest, blocking the Medyka-Shehyni border crossing.

This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to preliminary information, the protest is expected to last 48 hours, with a possible extension.

No truck congestion has been observed at the exit from Ukraine, but approximately 150 trucks are waiting to enter.

The entry of vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons into Poland has been temporarily suspended, while exit from Poland is permitted at the rate of one truck per hour. Passenger cars and buses remain unaffected by these restrictions.

The protest was organized by farmers from the association "Cheated Village," who have repeatedly demonstrated against the uncontrolled import of grain and other products from Ukraine.

It is worth noting that a previous blockade at the border lasted several weeks and ended in January this year.

Protests by Polish farmers at the Ukraine-Poland border persisted from November last year until April this year. The main demand of the protesters was to limit the import of agricultural products from Ukraine, particularly reducing the influx of grain, even though such goods pass through Poland in transit.
