In Kherson, a serviceman received a parcel with explosives through a Nova Poshta branch. Suspicion arose because the sender was listed as his fellow serviceman, who denied having sent it. The soldier did not open the package and informed the postal workers about the situation.
The incident took place at branch No. 9 back on June 22. It was reported by volunteer Nataliia Komarenko, who published a corresponding screenshot on social media.
According to official information from Nova Poshta, obtained by Telegraf, the recipient immediately contacted the staff with suspicion, as he had not ordered anything, and the listed sender had not sent him any items. The accompanying documents stated «electrical equipment.»
Upon inspection, it was determined that the «sender» indeed had nothing to do with the parcel. Nova Poshta employees called the police. Bomb disposal experts and the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene and discovered an explosive device in the package. It was neutralized on site in compliance with all safety measures.
