This statement was made by Pletenchuk during the national telethon.
Pletenchuk reminded of the words of Rustem Umerov, who stated that the Russians cannot leave the eastern part of the Black Sea. Otherwise, Kyiv will consider it a violation of the ceasefire. According to Pletenchuk, this condition has been repeatedly discussed by the country's leadership.
"Of course, the response will be adequate. And Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, has also voiced the requirement that the Russians cannot leave the eastern part of the Black Sea, where they have a formal legal right to be, as it is Russian coastal territory, and where they have actually been for a long time," the Ukrainian Navy spokesman explains.
Pletenchuk says that for Kyiv, a ceasefire in the Black Sea primarily means halting the shelling of port infrastructure. However, attacks on Russian ships are permissible.
"And yes, it's about security. It's about which objects cannot be targeted during the ceasefire. This certainly concerns the ongoing operation of our grain corridor and the ability to maintain export capabilities," the spokesman says.
Regarding military targets, as stated by representatives of Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, military objects, such as ships, are not covered by the ceasefire.
At this point, it is difficult to discuss the specific conditions of the ceasefire in the Black Sea, so it is necessary to wait for the final version of the document, which will outline all the conditions and specify the means of monitoring compliance with the agreements.
