According to him, all of Russia's rhetoric reveals its true intentions: not to end the war, but to prepare for the next phase of destroying Ukrainian statehood.

Russian demands and ultimatums toward Ukraine have remained unchanged for years, with one goal in mind – to make Ukraine defenseless.

This was stated by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha.

“Russia wants to limit the Ukrainian army, its defense capabilities, military aid from partners, and block Ukraine's NATO membership,” Sybiha emphasized.

According to him, all of the Kremlin's rhetoric exposes its real intentions: not to end the war, but to prepare for the next phase of dismantling Ukraine’s statehood.

“It’s not about NATO or "security concerns." It’s about Russia’s ability to destroy the Ukrainian state at a later stage, occupy its territories, seize its mineral resources, and use its human and other resources for further aggression. There should be no illusions about this,” the diplomat noted.

According to Sybiha, Moscow's rhetoric has now reached the level of escalation that was seen before the full-scale invasion in 2022. Russia is aiming to exploit geopolitical uncertainty to impose conditions on Ukraine that would jeopardize its future.

“We see this Russian strategy and will never accept anything that leaves Ukraine weak or defenseless. On the contrary, true and just peace requires reliable and long-term security guarantees for its preservation,” Sybiha concluded.

According to Szybiga, Moscow's rhetoric has already reached the level of escalation that existed before the start of a full-scale invasion in 2022. Russia seeks to take advantage of geopolitical uncertainty to impose conditions on Ukraine that will jeopardize its future.

“We see this Russian strategy and will never accept anything that leaves Ukraine weak or defenseless. On the contrary, a true and just peace requires reliable and long-term security guarantees to preserve it,” Sibiga concluded.

Let us recall that Vladimir Putin constantly manipulates demands to end the war and tries to rewrite the reasons for the invasion of Ukraine.
