Deadly price of truce: DeepState explains reasons behind massive strike on Ukraine
Russian occupying forces exploited the so-called temporary ceasefire solely to stockpile resources, leading to a massive drone and ballistic attack on Ukrainian cities, including western regions.

On Wednesday, May 13, the Russian army launched one of the largest kamikaze drone strikes toward western Ukraine, followed by the threat of ballistic missile use nationwide. This massive bombardment was a direct consequence of the temporary «truce» implemented for May 9, during which the aggressor accumulated forces.
This was reported by DeepState project analysts.
Cynical buildup instead of silence
Experts emphasize that while Ukraine’s ceasefire position was clear and humanitarian, the Russian side viewed the pause as nothing more than a window to prepare for new war crimes. The enemy employed classic deception, using the gained time to regroup and replenish its arsenal to continue destroying civilian infrastructure.
Moscow’s treacherous «peace» proved to be a mere smokescreen for large-scale terror against Ukrainians. Analysts stress that the current situation once again proves the age-old rule: if you want peace, prepare for war.
Frontline situation: Rotation maneuvers and guided bomb strikes
On the line of contact, Russian troops did not change their strategy, acting strictly in their own interests. In sectors where it was tactically advantageous, the occupiers used the «regime of silence» to resupply, reinforce fortifications, conduct rotations, and evacuate casualties.
However, where the operational situation required activity, the Russian army cynically ignored all agreements, continuing assaults and artillery shelling. Simultaneously, a significant escalation of aerial terror is recorded in frontline areas, with the enemy intensely deploying guided aerial bombs.
At the same time, Ukrainian Defense Forces responded in kind. Defenders hit back hard, shutting down any Russian attempts to break the silence and neutralizing occupiers at the first sign of provocation along the zero line.
