Has Russia Abandoned Strikes Against Ukraine's Energy System and What New Targets It May Choose for Next Attacks?
Intelligence officers say that Russia still wants to destroy Ukraine's energy system, while the Air Forces add that the invaders may plan to shell other targets as well.
Russia has not abandoned its goal of destroying Ukraine's energy system. At the same time, transport and hydraulic infrastructure may become new targets for the Russians, as Andrii Cherniak, a representative of the Defense Intelligence, said in his interview for RBC-Ukraine.
"Their main task remains the destruction of Ukraine's energy system. It is not only about power generation facilities, but about the fuel and energy sector as a whole - they want to stop the supply of both oil products and electricity," Cherniak said.
According to Yuriy Ihnat, the Spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy may target transport and hydraulic infrastructure.
"It seems that they may have realized that they will not be able to create a blackout in Ukraine, and winter is already ending, missiles are in short supply, so they are likely to plan strikes on other targets," Ihnat said.
