Russian troops have chosen two strategic directions for their advance in Ukraine — the Dobropillia and Lyman axes.

Bohdan Krotevych, call sign “Tavr,” former Chief of Staff of the Azov Brigade, spoke to Ukrainska Pravda about his assessment of the situation.

Krotevych noted that the Russian army, with its vast resources, is focusing its main efforts on these two fronts.

“What I see now is that they’ve picked two key directions — Dobropillia, and I believe they’ve decided to push seriously toward Lyman in order to encircle Kostiantynivka, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk,” Tavr said.

He added that the situation suggests Russian forces have nearly encircled the area through sustained fire control.

The former Azov staff chief clarified that Russian forces haven’t seized new territory yet, but have already made the Izium–Sloviansk highway impassable.

“And they’re gradually closing it off,” Krotevych said.
