During the negotiations with U.S. President's Special Representative Kit Kellogg, Ukraine's "red lines" will be clearly outlined, which cannot be violated during peace agreements.
This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak, in a comment on the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, one of the most important points is security guarantees, including the possibility of creating military bases and strengthening the air defense system. Podolyak emphasized that Ukraine cannot accept Russia's demands to reduce the army or implement control over its production capabilities.
Ukraine also rejects compromises on renouncing international military alliances, including NATO, peacekeeping contingents, and joint training with other countries.
Another "red line" concerns the territories occupied by Russia.
"No recognition of occupied territories, no ultimatums from Russia," Podolyak stressed.
Additionally, Ukrainian diplomats will explain to Kit Kellogg during the negotiations that encouraging Russia's impunity is dangerous for the entire global civilization, as its aggression will only escalate.
"This will also need to be explained to Mr. Kellogg, because any other formats of working with Russia will only lead to increased risks for contemporary civilization," he noted.
