Not «Oreshnik»: Budanov explains which Russian weapons pose greatest threat to Ukraine
Russian «Oreshnik» and «Kedr» missile systems are neither a breakthrough nor a new operational concept for Russia, Kyrylo Budanov stated. According to him, Iskander missiles, S-400 systems, cruise missiles, and drones pose a significantly greater threat to Ukraine.

Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that Russian missile systems like «Kedr» and «Oreshnik» do not represent a fundamentally new threat or a breakthrough in Russia’s military planning.
This was stated during the «Security Architecture» forum, as reported by TSN.ua correspondent Olena Cherniakova.
«The „Kedr“ and „Oreshnik“ systems, along with similar developments, are not some kind of breakthrough or a new operational concept. They are, first and foremost, demonstration tools,» the head of the Office of the President said.
He stressed that the primary threat to Ukraine comes from Iskander missiles, S-400 systems used by Russia to strike ground targets, air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, as well as drones. Budanov also said that Russia retains enough weaponry to sustain its attacks.
«I won’t surprise anyone here: the Russian Federation has enough weapons. Absolutely enough,» he said.
At the same time, the head of the Office of the President noted that Russian attacks are incapable of breaking the morale of Ukrainians.
«Can this break our morale? That is rather a rhetorical question. If they have failed to do so over all these years, I think they will fail to do so in the future,» he concluded.
