Power outages in Ukraine: an MP predicts when the situation will improve
The recent massive attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities by Russia have led "Ukrenergo" to implement consumption restrictions across the country. However, the difficult situation with electricity supply could soon improve.

This was stated by Member of Parliament Serhiy Nahorniak in a comment to "RBC-Ukraine."
According to the MP, energy workers will need about a week to carry out the necessary repairs. After this, the situation with the power supply is expected to stabilize.
"We managed to avoid a blackout thanks to two factors. First, the air defense system worked effectively, intercepting a large number of missiles and drones," Nahorniak noted.
He added that the secondary protection built at "Ukrenergo" substations, which were hit by drones and missiles, helped prevent severe damage. However, there are still numerous minor damages.
"Fortunately, we avoided a blackout, and the current restrictions across the country are mainly due not to a lack of generation, but to the need for repair work on "Ukrenergo" substations and power lines that were damaged," Nahorniak said.
Although the damages are "technical and minor," their elimination will take some time.
"A certain amount of time is needed - roughly until Sunday. In some areas, it will take a little less time, in others, a little more, to stabilize the situation," Serhiy Nahorniak predicted.
