Russian occupiers have resumed attacks on the Lyman-Kupiansk direction after a prolonged lull. In the past day, there have been 30 enemy attacks in that area.

Ilya Yevlash, the Head of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of Troops of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told about this on the air of the telethon.

According to him, the enemy is currently focusing its attention near Synkivka and Ivanivka, deploying its units of heavy equipment, artillery, and personnel to those areas.

In just the past day, the Russians opened fire on Ukrainian positions 656 times using various types of artillery, both rocket and barrel artillery. The enemy is also actively employing tanks, mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, and small arms.

"Russia is very actively trying to involve its aviation: pairs of Su-35, Su-25 attack aircraft are operating. However, they do so from a safe distance, avoiding the zone of destruction of air defense systems. The enemy conducted 17 strikes in the past day, but without success. During the combat operations, we managed to eliminate 244 occupiers and 21 pieces of weapons and military equipment," Yevlash noted.

According to him, among the destroyed objects were 1 tank, 5 BMP-2 and 2 BMP-1, 2 self-propelled guns 2C3 "Akatsia", 3 mortars. It was also possible to hit the “Tor” air defense system with artillery fire and disable it. In addition, 2 enemy warehouses and 5 vehicles were damaged.
