Russian troops are seeking weaknesses in Ukraine’s defences to deploy additional forces and equipment, aiming to expand territorial gains. The enemy is also carrying out a number of troop and equipment relocations, military analyst Vladyslav Seleznyov told OBOZ.UA.
“I think the enemy is preparing for a large-scale offensive by April. Weather conditions will change, and the greenery will gradually return. I believe that by that time, the enemy will try to concentrate as many resources as possible along various parts of the front to execute its plan,” Seleznyov said.
He stresses that Russia is seeking full control over the entire territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions could be the next targets.
“Further fighting in Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions is part of Putin’s plan to establish a so-called "sanitary" or "buffer zone" along Ukraine’s border with Russia,” Seleznyov said.
According to him, if Moscow considers Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions as “its own,” the enemy may also attempt to create a so-called "sanitary zone" in Dnipropetrovsk region.
