Following the fantastic strike delivered by Ukraine on Russian aviation as part of Operation «Spider’s Web», one should not forget about the Iskander-M complexes — ballistic missiles that Russians also use to attack alongside Shaheds. In the near future, Russia will attempt to strike powerfully using ballistic missiles.
This warning was given by aviation expert Kostyantyn Kryvolap on 24 Kanal.
He noted that within the framework of the SSU’s Operation «Spider’s Web», a fantastic strike was delivered, from which Russia will not be able to recover. Ukrainian drones attacked, among others, the Russian Olenya airfield, where Tu-95MS aircraft were hit. Moreover, the strike targeted Tu-22M3, Tu-160, Il-76, Il-78, and A-50 aircraft. In total, 34% of strategic aircraft, which were carriers of cruise missiles, were affected.
As a result, Russian missile strikes on Ukraine will decrease, but the threat of attacks remains.
According to the expert, Russia no longer manufactures Tu-95, Tu-160, or Tu-22M3 — the bomber that the enemy is trying to use to replace all strategic aviation.
Kryvolap says that the Russians had big plans for the prospective long-range aviation complex «Poslannik, ” with work starting in 2007. There were claims that by the end of 2025, 30–50 of these aircraft would be delivered to units, but these are just talks, and nothing has been presented so far.
Thus, Russia will use cruise missiles much less — 100%.
«The Russians will no longer reach the numbers they once had. They will never again be able to launch 100 cruise missiles in a single night, ” Kryvolap believes.
However, for Ukraine, the main threat lies not in cruise missiles but in various types of drones, particularly Shaheds. The Russians are upgrading them. They will continue to use greater jet thrust, which will increase their speed. Additionally, the enemy plans to improve resistance to electronic warfare and the warheads of their drones.
