Russian «Shaheds» with poison: An expert assesses the reality of the threat
According to Serhiy Hrabskyi, applying a toxic substance to a drone’s surface is impractical, but there is another possible method of chemical attack.

It is virtually impossible to "poison" the surface of a kamikaze drone, because such poison quickly breaks down and loses its properties when exposed to air. However, it is entirely possible that the Russians might attach capsules containing a toxic substance to their "Shahed" drones.
Military expert Serhiy Hrabskyi stated this during a broadcast on “Novyny.LIVE”.
“It is technically impossible to apply poisonous substances to the surface of a "Shahed,” Hrabskyi assured.
At the same time, he notes that currently only a few isolated cases of poisonous capsules being used in Russian drones are known, so a large-scale threat is not evident at this stage.
“It’s very simple to counter this: if you see something, stop, do not approach it, and notify the appropriate authorities. As for applying poison to a "Shahed" — that is utter nonsense, even from a technological point of view. Because poisonous substances degrade after a certain time, there’s simply no point in doing that,” the expert added.
According to Hrabskyi, the concentrated CS toxin, also known as an irritant, is not some "new development in warfare." This substance has been known for a long time, and Russia possesses large stockpiles of it, which could be used in the war against Ukraine.
