Pokrovsk area remains the most intense, as Russian forces aim to reach the administrative borders of Dnipropetrovsk region. Military analyst Denys Popovych discussed this on the FREEDOM broadcast.
The expert highlighted that Russian forces are aggressively attacking the South Donetsk sector, located in the southern part of Donetsk region. «The enemy is attempting to reach the administrative borders with Donetsk region. In the Pokrovsk sector, they have come very close to this boundary,» he stated.
Additionally, Russian forces are intensifying efforts in the Zaporizhzhia sector. Particularly, the occipiers are aiming to improve their tactical position in the village of Kamianske. Popovych notes its strategic importance, explaining that capturing the heights there would allow the Russians to shell Zaporizhzhia directly with both artillery and FPV drones. «Local residents are already reporting encounters with FPV drones. The Russians also aim to bring artillery closer. That’s why battles are currently being fought for Kamianske. Furthermore, the enemy is advancing toward the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration — the Kostiantynivka direction,» the military expert adds.
