The Union of Motor Carriers (UNAS) threatens to fully block the “Vysne Nemecke – Uzhhorod” border checkpoint if the situation regarding the cancellation of the permit system for Ukrainian carriers is not resolved.
This was reported by the press service of the organization.
Slovak carriers realize that the way to solving this "problem" will not be easy, but at the same time they called it unacceptable that the current situation remains.
"That is why UNAS remains in a state of readiness for a strike, and if there is no other alternative to resolve the situation, UNAS is ready to completely block the crossing point "Vysne Nemecke - Uzhhorod" in both directions," the carriers said.
The strikers also thanked the Minister of Transport of Slovakia, Jozef Raž, for raising the issue of the cancellation of the permit system for Ukrainian carriers and his influence on Slovakia's road transport in Brussels.
