On the morning of September 8, the Russians launched a missile attack on Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk region. The Russian occupiers hit an administrative building. One person was killed. As of 11:00 a.m., almost 50 victims are known.

This was announced by Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.

"Kryvyi Rih was attacked. The missile hit an administrative building. Preliminary reports indicate one killed and nine injured. Three people were rescued from the rubble," the statement said.

In addition, garages caught fire, which covered 200 square meters.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that a police officer has become a victim of the attack. Specifically, one of the police administrative buildings was destroyed during the attack.

"Kryvyi Rih. The city center was hit. One of the police administrative buildings has been destroyed as a result of the Russian strike, and a police officer was killed," as stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Meanwhile, Head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council Oleksandr Vilkul reported that there were several offices in this destroyed building. Rescuers, medics and communal services are working at the site of the impact.

"Nine injured. Five of them are already in the hospital. Unfortunately, two of them are in critical condition. Three people were rescued from under the rubble," he added.

Local authorities have set up an assistance center for affected individuals at the School of Arts (formerly the Central City District Committee) near the monument to St. Nicholas.

Additionally, the State Emergency Service reports that nearby residential buildings have also been affected as a result of the missile strike.

"The police are conducting a door-to-door check to assess the condition of residents. Rescue operations are ongoing. We ask local residents not to approach the site of emergency services' work for safety reasons," the statement reads.
