The war may end in 2023 - Zelenskyy named the conditions

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, believes that Russia's war against Ukraine may end in 2023, but under certain conditions.

He said this in an interview with the Portuguese TV channel RTP.

The President of Ukraine believes that the end of the war in 2023 depends on the success of the Armed Forces at the front.

"The war may end this year as well. Everything depends on several components. If we have an advance on the battlefield, we will put pressure on them and completely break their morale, then we can hardly imagine what will happen. The example of Kherson showed how they withdrew 40,000 people. They ran quickly, swiftly, and abandoned their equipment," said the President.

He emphasized that after such events, the world should be on Ukraine's side and support the "Peace Formula". At the same time, Zelenskyy explained that there are several factors that will influence the situation on the front. Because of this, he noted that the war could also end in 2024.

"It can happen next year as well: slowing down of processes at the front, blackouts in Ukraine. Each of these things kills the possibility of a political resolution of the war. Because winter is approaching again, Russia can act in such a way, and such actions can change the situation completely. Then Russia will constantly be in the process of receiving various responses from Ukraine," the President said.
