The Ukrainian Armed Forces reported heavy fighting on the Eastern front

Heavy fighting is ongoing in the east and Russian forces continuously attacking Ukrainian positions.

This was stated by Head of the Press Service of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Captain Ilya Yevlash, on Thursday, August 31, during the telethon.

"Fierce battles are currently taking place in the Eastern direction. The enemy is using the full range of aviation and artillery equipment, including various rocket systems and artillery guns. They are also using assault aviation," he said, emphasizing that the Russians do not experience 'shell hunger.'
