"This is what everyone knows but is afraid to say": Kuleba on Macron's idea regarding Western troops in UkraineEmmanuel
Macron admits the possibility of deploying French troops to Ukraine and speaks about strengthening security guarantees.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that President Emmanuel Macron's remarks regarding the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine were not unexpected for our country.
He said this in an interview with ELTA, quoted by Delfi.
Kuleba emphasizes that the discussion caused by Macron's idea will save time for Europe.
"Was President Macron's announcement surprising to us? No. It seems that Paris is the first European capital to publicly acknowledge the obvious. Other capitals are concerned and dissatisfied with this fact. That's also obvious. But the discussion provoked by this announcement from Paris will save Europe a lot of time in realizing that more needs to be done. Not just for Ukraine, but for Europe," the Minister says. Kuleba emphasizes that in many European capitals, there is still no understanding that assistance to Ukraine is not charity but the saving of lives of their own citizens, saving significant costs that would otherwise be spent on their own defense.
"This message from Macron is something that everyone knows but is afraid to say. He is just the first to start talking openly about what I think every reasonable person in Europe should understand. If Russia is not stopped in Ukraine, there will be war in Europe", Dmytro Kuleba stressed.
