Ukraine prepares new long-range strikes on Russian territory: Details from Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced preparations for new long-range strikes on Russian territory.

He made the statement following a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, and the Minister of Defense.

According to the Head of State, the situation in key areas — Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions — remains tense but under control. He emphasized that Russia is failing to achieve its objectives this summer, largely due to the resilience of Ukraine’s defense.

«The Russian army has significantly fallen short of its command’s expectations. Our units will continue to destroy the occupiers and do everything to bring the war onto Russian territory. We are preparing new long-range strikes, ” Zelenskyy stated.

The President also stressed that Ukraine’s response to every Russian attack will be «consistently tough.» In particular, the Commander-in-Chief reported on the elimination of Russian military personnel responsible for the death of a one-year-old boy in the Kherson region.

Separately, Zelenskyy announced an upcoming visit to Ukraine by U.S. General Keith Kellogg. The focus will be on issues of weapons supply and scaling up joint arms production. Currently, about 40% of the weapons for the front are produced in Ukraine.

«Our task is to significantly increase this figure and strengthen the state’s defense independence. To this end, regulatory, financial, and personnel changes will be implemented, ” the Head of State added.
