In Chasiv Yar, Ukrainian Defense Forces units have likely retreated from the refractory plant, where the enemy is now trying to secure a position.
This was reported by Ukrainska Pravda, citing an informed source from the area.
The retreat from the plant’s territory is indirectly confirmed by the Ukrainian forces' airstrike on the plant's grounds, as reported by the spokesperson of the Operational-Tactical Grouping "Luhansk," Lieutenant Colonel Dmytro Zaporozhets, on the air of the national TV marathon.
According to Zaporozhets, the enemy tried to establish a foothold at the refractory plant, attacking with small and medium groups.
"Thanks to the coordinated actions of the unmanned system units, the enemy was detected in one of the buildings on the plant's territory and an airstrike was carried out. The enemy suffered losses," he said.
A Ukrainska Pravda source reports that the Defense Forces maintain control over about a third of Chasiv Yar.
However, it is likely that the defense now has to be conducted in the ruined residential areas rather than on the fortified grounds of the industrial enterprise.
