Russia continues to strike Ukrainian civilians and civilian infrastructure with missiles and drones. However, this terror must never become a new "normality" for Europe. Therefore, Ukraine's partners need to actively, much more actively, counter Russian terror.

President Zelenskyy made these remarks during his evening address to Ukrainians on Wednesday, August 28.

Today, throughout the day, the consequences of the Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih are being eliminated – it was ballistic missiles again. There was also a strike with a guided bomb on Kupiansk, right in the city center. People were trapped under the rubble. Sadly, there are casualties. My condolences to the families and loved ones," the President said.

He added that Ukraine continues to work with Western partners on securing the necessary weapons for the front lines. At the same time, Zelenskyy stressed that more than just weapons and ammunition are needed. What is also crucial is "the strength of our unity with our partners."

"The power of truly effective unity - long-range unity. We continue to insist that decisiveness now - lifting restrictions on long-range strikes for Ukraine - will help us bring this war to a just end as soon as possible for Ukraine and for the world as a whole. The protection of life holds the same importance everywhere," President Zelenskyy said.
