After dislodging Ukrainian forces out of the Kursk region, Russia is likely to redirect its forces to another critically important area – Pokrovsk.

Military analyst Michael Clarke told Sky News about this.

According to him, Moscow mobilized about 60,000 soldiers, including well-trained units, for the operation in the Kursk region. This allowed Russia to gradually dislodge Ukrainian forces, but at the same time, it limited offensive actions on other sections of the front.

“Now the Russians have effectively pushed the Ukrainians out of Kursk region, and now Ukraine is in a relatively safe position on its side of the border. The question is, when will the 60,000 soldiers, excluding the North Koreans, appear in another part of the front?” Clarke pointed out.

In his opinion, the new direction for the redeployment of forces will be Pokrovsk, which is an important transport hub and a potential springboard for further Russian actions in Donetsk region.

“I suspect they will be in Pokrovsk in two to three weeks, and there they could significantly change the situation,” the analyst believes.
