President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the creation of an aircraft coalition.

He made this statement during a joint communication with representatives of the media at the Chequers countryside residence in Buckinghamshire, together with the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak.

According to the Head of State, the topic of jet aircraft was discussed during the meeting.

"We want to create this aircraft coalition. And I am very positive about it. We talked about it. I see that in the near future you will hear, I think, very important decisions, but we have to work a little more on this," Zelenskyy said .

In response, Sunak added that Britain is going to be a key member of this coalition of countries that will provide support.

"This is not a simple matter when we discuss the enhancement of aircraft combat potential. It's not just about aircraft supply. It also involves pilot training and all aspects of logistical support," Sunak said.

The British Prime Minister also noted that Britain will soon begin training Ukrainian pilots, which was discussed with Zelenskyy today.

"We are ready to implement these plans in a relatively short term. And that means we will be training Ukrainian citizens to become fully capable aircraft pilots, particularly when it comes to NATO tactics," said Sunak, emphasizing that this is an important component of the long-term relationship between Britain and Ukraine.
