Zelenskyy appealed to NATO

NATO should make a decision on Ukraine's membership in the bloc.

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, made this statement in his address to the Copenhagen Democracy Summit, as reported by Reuters.

Zelenskyy called on NATO to take a "positive political decision" regarding Ukraine's membership in the Alliance at the Vilnius Summit, scheduled for July 11-12.

The President added that Ukraine's accession would provide another historic achievement for the North Atlantic Alliance.

Just a reminder, on September 30, 2022, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine had submitted an application for NATO membership through an expedited procedure.
