The President of Ukraine stressed the importance of the participation of leading states from the so-called «coalition of the willing» in the issue of a possible deployment of military contingents on Ukrainian territory.
He said this on Monday during a meeting with German Finance Minister and Vice Chancellor Lars Klingbeil, according to an Interfax correspondent.
«I think it’s not for me now to share my thoughts on boots on the ground. I believe it is important that this come from the major countries, the main leaders of the „coalition of the willing, ” the Head of State noted.
Earlier, on August 21, Zelenskyy stressed that at present Ukraine does not have precise information on the number of countries ready to send their troops as part of the security guarantees system. According to him, members of the «coalition of the willing» are considering various formats of support, and not all of them necessarily involve a military presence on Ukrainian territory.
