To effectively wage war against Russia, Ukraine requires at least $1 billion per month from partners to purchase American weapons, Zelenskyy said this during a joint press conference in Kyiv with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Zelenskyy emphasized that Norway could play a key role in providing security guarantees for Ukraine, particularly in the areas of air defense and maritime security.

He said that Norway has joined the PURL program, which facilitates the procurement of American weapons, and that Ukraine aims to secure funding for this program at a level of at least $1 billion monthly.

Additionally, Zelenskyy discussed progress in developing Ukraine’s domestic drone production and opportunities for collaboration with partners. He stressed that current investments not only provide physical support but also create additional pressure on Russia to end the war.
