Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy promised to strengthen Ukrainian positions on the Pokrovsk front, which remains a primary target of Russian attacks. He spoke about this in his evening address on Friday, July 26.
In this context, the President reported on a meeting with the Minister of Defense and new defense packages for Ukraine from partners.
"It is crucial for our soldiers to receive exactly what is needed in these conditions of the most intense fighting and pressure from the Russian army. Specifically, along with the Minister and the military command, we thoroughly analyzed the situation on challenging fronts, with the Pokrovsk front in Donetsk region being the primary focus. This front has been and continues to be the primary target of Russian attacks," he stated.
Zelenskyy added that Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi had briefed him twice that day.
"Everything necessary will be done to strengthen our positions and enhance our ability to inflict significant losses on the occupiers," the President concluded.
