President Volodymyr Zelenskyy states that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin could be invited to the next Peace Summit on Ukraine. However, in Zelenskyy's opinion, Putin is unlikely to attend the event because he is "too scared" to sit at the negotiating table.
The Head of State said this in an interview with Bloomberg.
In this regard, a peace dialogue with Russia will not begin "in the near future," and for the conflict to "end fairly for Ukraine and the entire world," joint actions by the United States and China are needed, Zelenskyy noted.
In his view, Washington and Beijing, if they "set aside their differences," could act as mediators to end the war.
At the same time, Beijing should play a "serious role" in resolving the conflict and needs to "press" Russia to cease hostilities, the President of Ukraine said.
