President Volodymyr Zelenskyy outlined which infrastructure Russian troops will prioritize during their strikes on Ukraine throughout the spring and summer. The enemy is preparing a new wave of attacks, shifting their focus from the energy grid to broader infrastructure.
The president shared this information during a press briefing with journalists.
Zelenskyy said Russia had hoped to break Ukraine during the winter. He noted that the period was extremely difficult, with systematic attacks targeting heating infrastructure and power generation facilities.
At the same time, although the «energy campaign» continues, the enemy has already partially exhausted its stockpiles of missiles and drones. For this reason, according to the president, their impact during the spring and summer will not be as powerful.

«According to documents received from intelligence, Russian forces plan to target logistics, including railways and other infrastructure. They are also expected to strike water supply systems. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with local authorities, must prepare for this and are already working on it. This includes major infrastructure such as bridges, dams and hydroelectric power plants, as well as pumping stations and drinking water supply systems,» Zelenskyy said.
He stressed that such threats must be addressed with the same level of preparation as the protection of the energy system. The Air Force is already working to strengthen air defense and integrate relevant systems, while in some cases additional physical protection of facilities is also required.
The president also said that all levels of local authorities must be involved in the preparations. Community and city leaders should clearly understand which facilities are critically important — particularly those essential for water supply and sewage systems — and ensure the highest possible level of protection.
