“An explosion, then we were buried”
Among those caught in the epicenter of the attack were Kyiv resident Olha and her 6-year-old daughter, Natalka. Olha is raising her daughter alone, as her husband is currently listed as missing in action in the Russo-Ukrainian war.
Olha recalls the first minutes after the blast with horror. “An explosion, then we were buried. Everything was filled with smoke, there was no air to breathe, and we couldn’t see a thing,” she said.
Russia attacked a private medical facility
In Kyiv, a private medical facility was damaged in the Russian attack. The building sustained severe destruction, including damage to the facade. Numerous light-colored areas are visible on it, indicating shrapnel impacts. There are very many of them; these are large fragments that pierce the metal facade. The missile did not hit the building directly, but caused substantial destruction even from a certain distance.
