Russian forces launched a massive attack on Kyiv region with missiles and drones. Explosions were heard throughout the night as air defense forces were active. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, the strikes damaged three private houses and outbuildings in the Boryspil district, one house in the Fastiv district, and a car in the Bucha district. This was reported by TSN.

TSN visited the sites of the missile strikes. Reporter Dmytro Furdak was in the Kyiv region, where an entire street in a village was practically destroyed.

In the village of Markhalivka, the Russians killed a man

In Markhalivka, Russian forces demolished an entire street. Police, rescuers, and volunteers are working at the scene. One man, Mykola Likhter, a 66-year-old scientist, was killed. He had arrived in the village the day before. His house was undamaged, but he was struck by shrapnel.

His daughter said her father loved spending time in the village, closer to nature. «Mom told him not to go, but he went, and this happened,» she said.

His wife, Hanna Likhter, shared that she had a bad feeling: «I told him not to go because they would bomb the suburbs.»

During the debris cleanup, one man found an embroidered shirt and his daughter’s graduation dress.

«They have nothing of their own — everything they could invent, they did, and what they couldn’t, they stole. Now they want no one to have anything,» he said.

The situation in Makariv

In the center of Makariv, efforts to eliminate the aftermath of the attack are ongoing. Over 40 private houses were damaged due to the Russian missile strikes. About a dozen people were injured, and one person was killed.

At least three missiles hit the area. Locals say these were direct hits, not intercepted missiles. The craters, up to 8 meters deep, and the extent of the destruction suggest direct impacts. Some houses were completely reduced to rubble. On the street where TSN was reporting, there were two such craters, and another on a nearby street where a missile hit a yard, partially destroying a house and killing its owner.

TSN captured footage of explosives experts working at the site, pulling missile remnants from the ground. Dozens of homes were left without electricity, gas, or water.
