"The main result that may come from the meetings in the Vatican is that the U.S. might at least slightly agree to adjust the plan, which, of course, does not look very pleasant for us," Popov noted.

However, he believes that hoping the U.S. will fully accept all Ukrainian conditions is too unrealistic.
