No end to war soon: Political analyst gives bleak forecast
Political analyst Fesenko has laid out why peace remains out of reach in the months ahead.
Fesenko: Peace deal unlikely, Ukrainians should prepare for the war to continue
There will be no end to the war or signing of a peace treaty in the near future, and Ukrainians need to be patient, he said.
Volodymyr Fesenko, a prominent Ukrainian political expert, made the remarks in an interview with Times of Ukraine.
«We need a treaty to stop the war. Unfortunately, I believe the chances of such an agreement being signed anytime soon are minimal, ” he said.
He stresses that Russia has no interest in ending the conflict and is imposing conditions on Ukraine that are unacceptable. Fesenko therefore called on Ukrainians to prepare for the war to continue.
«I’m saying things that aren’t optimistic, but we have to be patient. There will be no end to the war in the coming months. We still have to face another challenge, a very serious one. The negotiation process is now going through yet another attempt; it’s not the last one, there will be more, ” the political analyst says.
The expert predicts that after some time, likely next year, there will be more realistic attempts to bring the war to a conclusion. Currently, Putin is not ready for negotiations.
«Right now, the enemy must be stopped. If the enemy is not stopped, there will be no peace, ” Fesenko stressed.
