The Kremlin has been noticeably reluctant to comment on yesterday's attack on Moscow and strikes on one of the city's largest oil refineries. Instead, officials have echoed the Russian Defense Ministry's claims about the alleged "high effectiveness of air defense systems."

The statement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Commenting on the attack, Peskov limited his remarks to claims that "despite everything, air defense systems are demonstrating high efficiency."

Putin’s henchman also urged Russians to watch footage of strikes on targets in Ukraine. He appeared to ignore the fact that Russian missiles and drones frequently target Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

"Look for more videos from different Ukrainian cities. The footage clearly shows the impact of our armed forces' attacks. These strikes will continue," he insolently added.
