Statement by Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on U.S. strikes on Iran: Key points
Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed support for the U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure. Kyiv considers these actions a legitimate response to Tehran’s destructive policies and its support for Russia.

Ukraine officially states that it supports the efforts of the U.S. and Israel aimed at destroying Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program poses a threat to both the Middle East and global security.
«Peaceful attempts to stop Iran’s development of weapons of mass destruction have continued for years but have yielded no results. The aggressive policy of the Tehran regime, including its ongoing destabilization of the Middle East and support for armed groups, has led to the current developments, ” the statement reads.
The ministry noted that Iran is complicit in aggression against Ukraine by supplying Russia with drones and technologies used to attack civilian infrastructure. Such actions, doplomats say, directly violate UN Security Council Resolution 2231.
«The strike on Iran’s nuclear program is a clear signal to Tehran about the unacceptability of further destabilization. It is precisely strength aimed at peace that can stop states pursuing policies of confrontation, terror, and lies, ” the ministry stressed.
Ukraine also called on Iran to cease its support for Russia’s war and urged the international community to intensify sanctions pressure on Moscow, particularly targeting its oil revenues and defense budget.
«We believe that the Iranian people deserve a dignified and peaceful future without dictatorship and confrontation, just as Ukrainians deserve victory in the war through the world’s resolute support for justice, ” the ministry concluded.
