Ukraine critically needs air defense from the US
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the critical importance of continuing U.S. military aid, particularly in supplying Patriot air defense systems and PAC-3 missiles, which Europe cannot provide in the required quantities.
He stated this during a media meeting alongside Mette Frederiksen, António Costa, and Ursula von der Leyen.
«We are counting on the continuation of American support, as there are certain items that, unfortunately, Europe cannot provide, especially when we talk about PAC-3, about missiles for Patriot systems. Yes, this is critically important when we talk about air defense systems, ” Zelenskyy noted.
At the same time, the Head of State emphasized the importance of scaling up Ukraine’s own weapons production, for which additional funding is needed. He also noted good relations with European countries, thanking Denmark for discussing important issues.
