By attacking Poland — an EU and NATO country — with drones, the Russian Federation has initiated a new phase of escalation in Europe. Moscow's actions are not a technical glitch or GPS failure, but a deliberate decision by the Kremlin to test the international community's reaction.
This was stated by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the UN, Andriy Melnyk, at a Security Council meeting, as reported by gordonua.
According to him, if the European Union does not respond decisively to the Putin regime's actions, Russia will not stop at Poland. Moreover, the world will find itself on the brink of World War III.
"Tomorrow, there could be drones or even missiles falling on Berlin, Paris, or London. The next day, something might even "accidentally" cross the Atlantic," Melnyk declared.
The diplomat emphasizes that the launch of Russian drones into Poland is not just mockery of the UN Security Council, but a "slap in your face." The Security Council, the Ukrainian politician stresses, must stop this new phase of Russian escalation, rather than “politely pretend that it’s only rain.”
