Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the United States is ready to take part in mechanisms to monitor a future ceasefire.
He made the statement while speaking to the media after a meeting of the coalition of the willing in Paris.
The key focus of the discussions was protection against possible violations of agreements by Russia. According to the president, Washington’s involvement in verifying security conditions is critically important for Ukraine.
“We had very substantive talks today with the U.S. team on monitoring to prevent any violations of peace. America is ready to work on this, and this is very important for us,” Zelenskyy said.
